Hi first post I have a new 2009 4runner and need some advise.

Was looking at some in dash GPS head unit and would like to know what u guys have.

I like the Eclipse Avn5510 and kenwood Dnx7120. But I want to make sure I can use my hand controls on steering wheel.

Also do I really have to install the Gps antenna outside or can I just put it into the dash behind the stereo. I've got 8000 miles and really don't feel like going crazy running wires everywhere and making a mess!

Thanks for the help!

I have always used Eclipse. You can buy a steering wheel control module for another $60 plus install. I dont know about the antennae thing, I have always put mine in back, above the 3rd brake light. Run the wire along the headliner (takes about 3 minutes). Hope that helps.

I have a brand new Kenwood DNX7140 for sale in the classified section. The kenwood unit has built in bluetooth, garmin nav, and your steering wheel controls will work with an interface.
