New system(need box ideas)

Looking for a bang bang boom system, heres what im thinking:

Hifonics Brutus BXi1208D Amp

and heres the kicker(no pun intended)
id like to make my own box for my third gen, if i could get some genius idea for a box(with plans and dimensions) that would be AWESOME

That setup is ok. If I were you and wanted a lot of bass I would go with a 15" FI Q or FI BL. Use the same amp.

If you wanted two subs I honestly think two Alpine Type R's would perform better than those CVRs. Maybe get a different amp that puts out a little more RMS.

I would not recommend kicker subs at all!...also alot depends on the amp when it comes to sound quality...depending on budget, i would highly recommend anything boston acoustic...one 10'' G5 would out bump 4+ of the kickers....just food for thought i guess (but i dont think kicker sounds good for low end or complex hits)


as for a box....down-firing, you can still use your whole cargo area...i currently dont have one and its the thing i cant stand (back-firing currently)

have you had experience with both subs?... I would be interested in a direct comparison with a woofer that retails at $70, and one that retails at $350... something tells me they arent the same price for a reason...


my recommendation is to go listen to every sub you want to buy, they each have different characteristics, some may be a better low end with a less responsive (crisp) sound, ect. find something that pleases your ear.

Find a mid range sub and spend the time and money on the box! A low end sub has the potential to sound better than the high-end one depending on the box and power.

And Fiberglass your box!!!
