Hey All,

It's taken awhile to get to the point where I picked up a T4R; but lately I've found myself needing to lessen my toys to simplify my spending.

My old daily was a '07 Honda Element SC which was supposed to be a lifer. The E was great and the cargo carrying capicity was second to none for an avid cyclist.

My fun truck was a '92 GMC S15 Jimmy with 31's and a modest 2.5" lift. The truck has been crazy reliable, but the 31's just don't fit on the truck without heavy cutting and I really want to get to 32's.

And I still have a project car on the side, '92 VW Corrado VR6 that's coming back to life soon.

Although my original plan was to go with an Unlimited or a Tacoma (crewcab SB), finding a reasonibly priced under 150k was next to impossible.

The T4R or a Xterra was next on the list. After a short test drive of a T4R, I was sold.

So, I picked up an '07 SR5 V6 in Black Mica with 140k on the clock from a local Toyota dealer, paid about $12k and all stock and pretty good condition overall.

The T4R is a good balance between the E and the old S15 in reliabiliy, fuel mileage and function; so I'm stoked.

My plan is for this to be a bike hauler meets light-duty Overlanding. So mild lift centered around 32s, make it ubber reliable, weekend camping, etc.

(I'll post a build thread later)
I did have to order new headlamps as the driver's side was full of water and both were starting to dull.

I used the forums to learn how to program keys and remotes, saving me over $400 vs what the dealer wanted.
$175 per coded key, plus remote.
I'm all for people making money, but it cost me $58 to purchase two keys and a remote, have them cut, and program them myself.

Quick tip: I tested the programming before I even had them cut.
