New T4R Owner Poppers

Hello. My name is Michael aka Poppers (what youngest son in college calls me). I just purchased an 87 T4R SR5 color black with 204K miles with new engine (less than 10k on efi reman engine. I know the PO folks well and trust this is true). The deal was so great I could not pass it up. Other than the oxidized flat black paint and two relatively small body problems it is definetly salvagable. Replaced some exhaust pipe and now working through some vibration issues, (at 60 mph+)alignment and tire stuff. Motor runs really great. Needs stereo, speakers little stuff like that. A/C seems inoperative, brakes are new, shocks are new, new radiator with engine replacement, plexiglass top is showing through paint and am considering gel coat or soft top. I believe she has never been off road or had the hard top removed. Do we call this a virgin? Have been reading this board and lurking so decided I needed to jump in! Thanks,

Thanks. Interesting that vin code finder says it was originally a 4 speed automatic. I can tell you for sure though that it's a 5 speed manual. Smooth transfer shift too.

Front end alignment (had not been touched in years) all components tight including damper.

PO had moved front tires to back. So now right rear is out of round and oscillates above 61 mph so new rear tires tomorrow and may include new fronts as well. Original specs called for P225/75R15. I currently have LT235/75/R15 (goodbich).

I do not have an owner's manual so I have a question, what is the little switch to the left of the gas door pull cable knob? Anyone know? Thanks,
