New tint all around

So i got my tint finally on. i went with 4% on top of the factory tint and decided to go all around. it's pretty dark but i can still see at night (barely) :D as long as the roads are lit up or the cars behind me have on their lights it's fine. The guy originally quoted me 400 bucks for 9 windows (the rear passenger windows that are next to the ones that roll down count as a window). but since i haggle with everyone now days i talked him down to 300 bucks out the door. :D so saving myself 100 bucks just for talking for a few minutes was a great success :guitar2:

Love the dark tint...was thinking of re-tinting mine.

StormTrooper,

Can you please take some pictures from the inside of the truck?

With about the same sunlight...so I can see how dark it is from the interior.

Any trouble driving at night?

Thank you!!

I like it. So did you put 5% all the way around or do the fronts and rears match?

K.C- I have 5% on all of mine and my windshield tinted and it's kinda hard to see at night. I definitely wouldn't want to go any darker. It's not a big deal if the streets have lights, but if they don't it's difficult. I bet in San Francisco that you wouldn't have a problem.

I will take some pics tomorrow hopefully. Driving at night isn't too bad. Just baking up and parking in unlit areas is quite a bit different now. I need better reverse lights anyways so that might help.

Looks great! I would be pulled over as soon as I pulled out of the driveway!

Haha yea whenever i see a CHP or sac county sheriff i have to quickly roll em down. What's the law for Mass for tint? in cali you're only supposed to have 70% on the fronts...

Me too :D It's actually 4% tint... kinda weird cuz most limo tints are 5% but not at this place... anyways its 4% over the factory tint that was already on the back and then the same 4% on the fronts. basically the fronts are slightly less dark but it's near impossible to tell because it is so dark. plus the windshield lets in light and so the fronts "appear" more light than the rest even though it's not very noticeable unless i told you before... it would have been almost impossible to match the fronts exactly to the rears just because the factory tint is something like 22% and the fronts are like 0% to begin with...

It's actually easy to match...did it one mine, but like you were saying most people can't tell the difference.

Yea.. Well it's near impossible to tell from the outside but from the inside you can definitely tell that the fronts are lighter cuz you can see out of them much easier than the rears. It's actually kind of sweet now. When i sit in the back of my car and close the door it is dark and cool even tho it is 90 degrees and sunny outside. Another thing you can do to lighten up the front if it's too dark during the day or just to make your tint seem lighter so a cop doesn't bust you is pop open the sunroof. then he might think you only have limo in the rears and lighter in the front :D

Looks perfect, reminds me.. I need to get my front windows tinted darker, even though I got a $70 ticket for the rear ones about a week ago..

K.c.

these were the best of the pics i took. the rear pics seem quite a bit lighter in the photos than they really are. the front ones are more accurate of what they actually look like. so i guess just imagine a little bit darker of the front ones in the back. also i dunno what is up with the coloration of the rear windows cuz they definitely don't look like that. i think it might be the polarizer on my lens. also i couldn't figure out the best setting on my camera so here's the best i could do...

Thanks man. What is your tint in the front?
Damn that sucks. you have double limo in back right? are you not allowed to have any darkness in the rears?

StormTrooper,

Thank you very much buddy!!

Time for me to re-tint my windows.

I noticed that you're in Sacramento. Is it super hot there? And have you noticed the interior being cooler?

Np, it was actually only 87 today (not too bad lol) but i can definitely tell the tint is doing what it's supposed to do. Not to mention my brother loves how he doesn't get sunburned sitting in the passenger seat. :lmao:

The tint is so dark cant even see your speakers when I place my face smacked up against it.

Running into any troubles with the law yet? I really wanna tint my front windows so that it atleast matches the backs but people have said its really risky.

wish i had the balls to do dark tint on my truck, too bad were both in norther california, too much hassel to go thru for those tickets, so i just did 30 up front and 15 over the stock with llumar axcess. what brand and what shop did the tint? also i drive a black truck so it kinda matches.
