New Tires, New Shocks Q's

Hey Guys-

Couple quick questions:

The 275 65 R17 BFG T/A KOs will fit on a stock 2007 SR5 4WD with minimal rubbing, correct? Or does a 265 70 R17 perform/look better?

As for shocks, are the Bilstein 5100's a good choice for an all around street/off road/winter shock? Would I be able to install these on my own? I already do all my own maintainence and consider myself capable with a wrench.

Couple quick questions:

The 275 65 R17 BFG T/A KOs will fit on a stock 2007 SR5 4WD with minimal rubbing, correct? Or does a 265 70 R17 perform/look better? IMHO I'd go for the 265's. The 275's have an additional .3" in carcass width, maybe a bit less on the tread. So the 275's get you .25" of tread for $25. BUT the 275's are a full .6" shorter. Width wise either tire looks great on a 4Runner. The taller 265 will look better from the side, provide a fuller wheel well, provide a tiny bit more ground clearance, work better aired-down/off-road and ride a bit better (taller sidewalls contribute to all that). The 265's will require a minor fender-liner relocate and may have minor UCA rub with the steering wheel cut fully. So will the 275's.

As for shocks, are the Bilstein 5100's a good choice for an all around street/off road/winter shock? No 1st hand but many here love the 5100 for all activities. Would I be able to install these on my own? If you've ever installed struts you'll be fine. The rears are easy. I already do all my own maintainence and consider myself capable with a wrench.
