New Tires

Has anyone put Yokohama Geolandars on their T4R? I was thinking about going with AT 2's. I'm looking to upgrade my 86 before it gets too cold. I've had on Bridgestone Desert Duelers for years was looking for some reviews or advice...

Any other tires you may reccommend for daily commutes and occasional off-road?

I had 'em on my '97 Runner and they were decent for the price and handled the trails nicely but they seem to wear quicks hence their 380 treadwear rating. Yoks are good for the price but I'd take my Nittos over 'em anyday and they are much better than BFG ATs on a daily driver and much cheaper. Nittos also come factory siped and are great in the wet stuff. Yoks also do decent in the snow and resist hydroplaning much better than the BFGs since the BFGs don't really have water evacuation channels which is something to consider where you will be driving your truck.

off road is where the BFGs really shine but once back on the paved roads they are a bit subpar for a pretty expensive tire which would have been almost another $200 more than my Nittos.

I have had very good luck with my BFG AT. 42,000 miles on them and plenty of tread left! I had them on my 84 chevy they wore prety fast but thats a heavy truck:D
