New Tires

Well i originally posted in the perfomance section asking about running wider tires but that forum is way too dead so i figured i would post here for those of you who care.

I decided to go with 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I wasnt sure if they would fit without spacers but so far i havent had an issue. I havent taken off the mud flaps or trimmed anything yet, i also havent been off road yet either. I will try to take pics and post them tonight if anyone is interested?

I havent really noticed any power loss, still gets up and goes just fine. As for the spare, I dont do alot of offroading so i'm not too concerned with it. Plus they are brand new tires. I may look into a spare down the road but i dont remember whats the max size you can have with the weight distributing hitch

265/70/17 or a 255/75/17 are the largest that you can fit in the stock spare location. Only reason I still have my Nitto's at 265/70's. As you can see, yours fill out the wheel wells much better.

Im use to driving lowered cars so filling the wheel well is always a priority. I just like the way it looks. When it comes time for a spare i will most likely go with the 255/75/17 because its closest to the size i'm running now.

Hey HB 4x4 I bought the cornfed 3/2 and I think I am going to stick with my stock 17"s at first and buy 265/70/17 Cooper Stt's.....I am worried they wont fill my wheel wells out good enough? what do you think....Promed says they will probably look great...

I really want to have a spare too..I see you have 26/70/17s and I think it looks good with you lift....i know it doesnt fill it out all they way..anyways what do you think?

1) Click the 3/2 cornfed link in my signature. It has before/after shots from when I went with the 3/2 from the 2/1.

2) I now have 285/70/17 which look MUCH better. Again, link is in my signature. The spare fits if you get the Nitto Terra Grappler. Anything larger won't fit.
