its not like i dont like E rated tires(i have a 2500 cummins and it likes em) i just dont see the point in spending all that extra $$$ on them when you will never be able to use them with our 4runners, and they dont air down well for off road use. so it brings me to ask -why did you get E rated tires and not just the D or even C rated ones?

Thanks for all the compliments. I got the e because apparently they don't make the 265/75/16 size tire in load range c. Also, I couldnt find those tires in town in load range d and I really needed new tires and I also didn't feel like waiting. I did get the tires for the price of d range tires though because the shop I went to matched the price of another shop that was selling them in range d (they didn't have them in stock and they didn't know when they were coming in). Overall, I am very happy with the tires

I ran the same tires on my rig for a few years.....they came with the sale of the rig. The were a pretty good tire, however, a little noisy on the highway (not as noisy as my Bighorns, lol!), and not that great in the rain or snow. I found I would hydro plane in large puddles of water on the road...and the rear end of the truck would be everywhere if not in 4X4 while in the snow.
Aside from that, they wear pretty good, and the only reason I replaced them was that one out of 4 of them had a broken belt. At the time, I couldnt' get a deal on the BFG's, and ended up downsizing to a 245 in the Mickey Thompson ATZ's.....

i dont think any thing will ever be as noisy as our Bighorns... damn i feel like i should have some 35s and 6" lift with a loud bigblock chevy and the confederate flag flying if the back of my truck... as i drive down the hwy, i like the sound dont get me wrong but not for this truck, just seams outta place lol

yes, but i expected that noise from the TSLs, i figured the Bighorns are like you say a mild-aggressive mud tire, but wow they are just as noisy as the TSLs and those are IMO a dedicated off-road tire(yes you can run them on the road, but they dont have very good road manors.

My bighorns weren't that bad but I do live in the south so maybe I'm just used to it....35s, 6" lift, confederate flag

Have you noticed any power loss or the transmission hunting gears going to load range E? I originally wanted to run the BFG's on my 4Runner too but I wanted C.

Great looking 4Runner I love the color. Tires give the rig a nice profile and the stance looks tough as hell. I had Michelin LTX load e for awhile they worked well enough for me. To each his own when comes to application use and the conditions your running. Different vibes for different guys. Right on!

Looks nice.
Don't run the max pressure marked on the tire. That is for max carrying capacity. Run what is marked on your door frame. They will ride much smoother.
Actually a larger tire has a bigger volume of air and can carry the same weight at a lower pressure. You didn't go much bigger so the mfg recomended is close enough.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Never expected to this much love for a thread on new tires lol.
I did notice a slight power loss but nothing major in town. Its pretty bad on Saddle though. The runner was a plug on some of those hills and you really had to dig in to get it moving. The tranny dosent hunt for gears but it will hold them for just a little longer. Sears Puainako had them in d range but they only had 1 tire in stock and the rest were coming from Kauai and they didnt know when they were coming in. 4 tires installed would run about $970.00

THAT is what matters! I have a soft spot for BFG A/T's and yours look great! I know you smile every time you look at your Runner now, 'cause it looks so good with the new tread!
