New to 4 runners

So I'm looking at possibly getting a 97 4runner SR5 with a manual gear box. It has 150k miles on it currently.

What kind of things should I be looking for or looking out for when looking at these things? I'm new to the toyota and 4runner scene.

Is the head gasket still an issue on that year or was it phased out and fixed by then?

headgasket issue is resolved...the main thing buyers need to get is prof of maintanance...then take it to a respected auto shop for inspection...and maybe do a autofax.
