New to 4R audio...

I would like to be able to put a sub and amp in my 03 v8 4R. I've read a lot of the threads on the Scion headunit, but I'm missing something lol.

1) Which scion headunit (1 or 6 disc; what are their part numbers) will fit in my 4R SR5?

2) Do the Scion HU's have a line out for an amp connection?

3) Do they all read MP3 cd's?

4) What is this drilling for and is it absolutely necessary?

5) If i were to replace my factory speakers with pioneer component speakers, would the Scion HU push enough to make them bump??

Question #1 not sure the part numbers but go to the partznet web site. the link is above. but it depends on which one you prefer. 1 disc or 6.

Question #2 no. you have to get a line level converter or go on ebay and get the adapter.

Question #3 yes the 2006 models all read mp3/wma

Question #4 the drilling is for the second smaller antenna that 4rers have. im not sure if its nesseary but you will get better recption if both are connected.

Questions #5 dont know havent heard those b4 but they do improve the stock ones and the have a higher output so my guess would be yes.

but use the search function theres a lot on the scion mod. check it out! search for scion headunit hope this gets youi started.
