New to 4Runners

Hello all, Over the summer i got a 2005 V8 sports edition 4runner natural white. i plan on doing some mods soon gonna start with taking the running boards off and blacking out all the emblems. then i will get black headlights and taillights with a new stereo set up. just wanted to know anyones suggestions? and i was curious if there was anyways i could get the silver plastic piece below the hatch to either white or black? is the best way to get it off and paint it?

I love how yours looks, thats what im eventually going for. the white on black look. being in college though the moneys short so wheels/tires have to wait awhile. but my question i have a silver plastic peaice below the back hatch above the hitch, how did you get the either white or black?

A lot of users here use the black plasti dip stuff. I myself have never used it, but it seems pretty easy to do and very inexpensive. It's also supposed to be very durable, yet it can be removed when you don't want it anymore and it doesn't do any harm to your plastic or painted pieces.

well realistically i would like it white, but im scared white plastidip wont match my paint color, but thats what im using for my emblems

I hear ya! I'd be worried about that as well. Mine is still chrome as well and I'd like to have it painted white as well.
