New to 4x4ing and this thread!

Hey all, I'm from British Columbia Canada and I recently got into 4x4ing so I bought myself a 1993 T4R. Needs some minor work but I have already been out a few times in the bush with it.
It's the 3.slow auto with 230,000 kilometers on it. Bought it with 32X11.5 BFG All Terrains but they are nearing the end of their life. I think I might go with the same tires when I buy new ones. Any suggestions? Whats the consensus on BFG Mudd Terrain? Anyways. Looking forward to sharing/stealing ideas from everyone here. Thanks!

I currently own both the BFG AT KOs and the BFG KM2s. Both are excellent tires and u can't go wrong with either. However Ive heard the ATs are much better in the snow. Also if u only occasionally off-road then go with the ATs.

Whats the consensus on BFG Mudd Terrain?

Love my BFG KM2s, absolutely love them. The only place I think they're lacking is in soft sand, they tend to dig a little where a less aggressive AT tire will find traction. They're awesome in deep snow, and as long as you have the shop sipe the center lugs they're ok on slick pavement too. They're great in dirt and rocks, probably good in thick mud too but I wouldn't know about that .

They could be overkill for you though, they're still an MT - they'll be noiser on the street and your gas mileage will go down. What kind of wheeling are you doing? I'd say if you've liked the AT KOs so far, then stick with what's working.

The BFG MTs are good in mud and snow, I ran them on my 83 for awhile.

I'm not doing anything extreme. I'm doing more than your rough logging road, but I'm not crawling over large boulders either. I guess just the AT's is my best bet than. I take her swimming once in a while too. I'm thinking about investing in a snorkel.

Yes! I get to be the first to put dents and scratches in it. Pretty amazing for a 20 year old truck. I am the third owner, apparently it has never been taken offroad except logging roads. Got it for a screamin deal too ($2800 CDN).
