Hi All

I must admit that I have lurked on this forum for quite some time and enjoyed all of the threads and professionalism displayed on the forum between users.

The forum has been a great resource of information and helped me make a decision to purchase a 2010 4Runner. When I decided it was time to trade in my "02" , I wanted to find a pristine 08 or 09 Sport. Good Luck - I soon found out. My search over many months was proving fruitless. Which lead me to this forum and its wealth of information. I decided to try out the 2010 4Runner.

Wow!! Glad I did. It fits my needs exactly.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. There is a very nice BP 09 Sport pretty much fully loaded at my local dealership. However, you could walk away with a new 5th gen for the asking price of the 09 with 41K.

Edit: I need to change my profile. No longer in the outback. I'm now along the front range like you.

desertred .... I looked for months to find a loaded 09 Sport. I found a bunch of trash and three that looked decent (loaded, 35K miles or less, etc). Upon further investigation I found out two had been totaled and rebuilt...so no way. The other was really close to what I wanted... but not close enough and it was in Idaho not even close to the Front Range.....almost went for it. Decided to give the '10 a look, was offered I great deal and that was it. You are right a late model prisitne sport commands a premium price.

icenomad..........great eyes. That is Hallett's Peak in RMNP and a group of us snowshoing across the frozen lake.

mikey ....thanks for the welcome

As previously stated, welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. As you'll soon find out from reading for hours at a time on this forum, there are all sorts of things you didn't know, wish you didn't know and things you want to know more about.

I encourage you "BEFORE" the masses get all worked up to familiarize yourself with the search feature in this forum. Almost everything (I said almost), has been covered in a thread here. Now that's not to say that your exact question or concern may have already been answered, but typically you can find MOST of what you need in a previous thread.

Hot items already covered in depth are:

Floor Mats
What Size Tires Fit
What Size Wheels Fit
What Color Wheels Do You Have
Mud Flaps
Running Boards
Cargo Mats
4wd Settings
Custom Grills
LED Lights (Interior/Exterior)
Window Tint
Navigation Sucks (can't use while driving)
Speaker Upgrades
120V Outlets (How to use them)
TRD Upgrades (non existent to date.....well mostly)

Hope this helps you get started......don't be afraid to post new messages, just do yourself the favor of searching to see if it's already been covered, if it's been covered, but didn't exactly answer your question, either reply to the "already created thread" or create a new one referencing that previous threads didn't answer your question.

Again....welcome and hope your enjoy your new ride and the new knowledge you'll learn on this forum. HAGO
