New To Me: 2002 Sport

Hey everyone! I finally got one too!

I drove a '90 carolla all through high school and undergrad - very reliable, safe, economical. But, I've been a vet student for a year now and have gotten so sick of parking (and getting stuck) in the mud out at farms we visit. Despite what all my old animal-science-major friends think, it's only funny so many times...
So, after years of saving and hoping, I am the proud new owner of a 4WD 2002 'Runner, Sport Edition.

It's got 68,000 miles but it's spotless; new tires, new mats, just detailed... All I need to do now is get them to make a vet box that fits in a Toyota. Of course my boyfriend has already taken to making fun of my new "Yuppy, puppy-truck" but I'll be laughing when his Dodge is dead at 120,000 miles...

The pictures don't show up, but I bet it's a real nice looking truck. Just be careful as now you may go looking to park in the mud at those farms, just to see how easy it is to drive right out. I'm sure the boyfriend will come around to the Toyota once he sees what a great truck it is.

Welcome to the Sport Edition club. I had a '97 but got bored with it's ordinary looks and no rear diff lock so I searched til I found my '99 last fall and am now finally content.
So,are you gonna add any personal touches? Remove the running boards?
I've added a bit as you can see in my sig and up next will be shocks and springs.

The running boards are definitely going, probably this weekend. I also have an appointment to get a lock box installed in back so I can keep controlled drugs, etc.

A lot of other stuff I'm being indecisive about. It'd be nice to have a set of lights so we can see what were doing in the middle of a dark pasture at midnight, or a brush guard to help protect the front end as we have to venture into some obscure corners that horses have decided would be a good place to "curl up and die" (even for some of the most minor little injuries, gah!). And, somewhat related, my horse keeps whispering in my ear that I need a fancy new trailer to go with the 4Runner....

Even just haning out here has proven to be a great source of stuff I "need". So, essentially, I don't know enough to know what I want yet. I'm gonna ask some old vets, some old truck guys, you guys when I do decide what I actually want to ante up for.
