New to me 2024 4Runner TRD ORP

It's been a while, 4Runner gang

It's been a few years since I've owned a 4Runner. I work at a car dealership and I took this beauty in on trade the other day. A 2024 TRD Off-Road Premium, fully loaded. I knew I had to get it myself. My dealership basically let me STEAL this compared to book value and retail value. It was too good of a deal to pass up and I'm glad I'm back in the Toyota family with the last year they made the 4.0

Looking to do some mods to it soon such as a leveling kit, I have Falken Wildpeak AT4W's that I just purchased and I'm swapping from my truck to the 4Runner. I'm also thinking of doing the Morimoto XB EVO Hybrid headlights and tail lights from them as well, just to give it a different look. Will probably do the TRD Pro grille and raptor lights as well just to start with.

Another vote to skip the raptor lights, I do love my Yota Xpedition knockoff PRO grille without them.

Hopefully that ridiculous front tint is going the hell away

Another vote to skip the raptor lights. They don't provide any real value aside from the looks department. Same with the headlights and taillights. Toyota finally came thru with LED headlights/fogs, so I would say it isn't necessarily important in your case.

As far as tint goes, keep the tint. You'll need it.

Since you've got the Falken's lined up, that should do very well in just about any situation you can think of. Are you keeping the TRD wheels? If not, they should fetch some $ on the market.

As far as mods go, my question is what is your goal and purpose for the 4Runner?

If off-road use, after the tires, I would say either protection or suspension. Perhaps Bilstein 5100's for a mild lift and better off-road performance. And, they're wallet friendly. You could go either skid plates and sliders or both.

Spend some time around here, ask questions and peruse the YT videos of people using their 4Runners for the same thing you want to do, then see how that will fit in.

Just for a real world example, my stock 2021 4Runner went on some pretty gnarly off-road trails in Death Valley. The only thing I did was upgrade the tires to Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws (E-load). You don't really NEED all that stuff to go off-roading.

Yep. Stock rigs on decent tires go FAR. They are very capable for what they are. I've been going anywhere I want offroad for 2+ years now in my '23 ORP, zero plans to modify the suspension or oversize the tires, as it's still taking me everywhere I choose to point it. And since I haven't embiggened it for the sake of it (and I'm running P A/T's), it's doing 24mpg highway when I ask it to, and has very good road manners by 4Runner standards. Comfy highway rig, comfy offroader.
