New to me 96 4runner, towing?

Gonna pick this up tomorrow. Not my first 4runner, as you can see. Any mods, upgrades, or maintenance that should be done before I tow a little uhaul trailer from Charleston to Connecticut in 2 months? Any and all help is appreciated.

Does the dealer have maintenance record? Everytime I buy use from the dealer I make them do driveline/trans fluid.

Just make sure your fluids are good & clean (engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid etc.) and your brakes are up to snuff. If the pads are worn down or if the rotors are drums are warped make sure you fix them. A small u-haul trailer is not going to tax your engine or transmission very much if at all but you want to make sure you can stop safely & securely if you have to!
