New to my 4Runner lifestyle

I just bought my 2008 4Runner in July and I want to know everything about it. So I thought I would join this forum to find some things out. I used to be a Ford Explorer kinda girl, but then realized that Fords only last like 3-4 years. ( I went through 2 of them in 7 years)This last one litterally turned into an EXPLODEr. A good friend of mine introduced me to the world of Toyota. I fell in love with the 4-Runner!! One flaw, mine dosnt have a spoiler and without it kinda reminds me of a minivan. I was wondering where I need to go to look into getting one for my truck.

Original Equipment Manufacturer

Seriously, if you expect the a spoiler will keep your rear window free of dirt and snow, you are in for a disappointment. It may help just a little; the spoiler is mostly cosmetic...

It does actually... considerably.

They are pricey for the OEM spoilers. Choose your color and you'll see what I mean:

You may have better luck on eBay or check for 4Runners that have been totaled via a front end collision so the spoiler is still intact.

Welcome to the board! In my opinion, the spoiler only helps make the truck look better. It really doesn't keep the rear window clean. There are two styles of spoilers:

1. The spoilers shipped from the factory, which has a hump on top. No LED brake lamp.
2. Aftermarket Toyota product with no hump but LED brake light

:iagree: with Josh. I never use the rear wiper, only once to make sure it works.

My window stays clean enough to see out of, even with salt, mud and snow on a multi-day trip trip.

I forgot how to even turn on the rear wiper. All that thing does is create a 10 inch area of smear across the window anyway.
