New to T4R, Build thread in the making.

Hey everybody!! I just joined T4R, and enjoy seeing what mods everybody has done to there trucks. In the upcoming months I will be starting my Build on my 2000 4Runner. I hope to learn a lot on this forum. For the mean time I will attach current pictures of my truck.

Hey, Thank you for the welcome. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at North Dakota State University. This is my daily driver, and it is a BLAST up here in the winter!

Ya it is nice seeing what others have done. By the way, I am thinking about installing a 3in lift kit later this spring. What do you guys think of Toytec's complete OME Lift Kit?

I like the front Old Man Emu setups but I'm not really a fan of the rear springs or shocks. If you found a used front OME setup and then got the toytec super flex coils with some OEM land cruiser shocks or some bilsteins that would prob be cheaper and better. It's the front OME struts that are expensive. $262!! find a used front setup if you want OME.

Yup haha ME for me. Just for personal curiosity were your born in North Dakota? If so where? My dad was born in Minot and I have some family up there.

Truck looks sweet man! As far as OME stuff goes I've never personally ran their stuff so I couldn't tell ya. I will say though, if I could go back and re-lift my truck I would go with toytec coilovers up front. I've been super impressed with them in the trucks I've ridden in that had them.

BTW, I also have warning lights on my T4, just all interior except those ones in my signature pic that also strobe.... So HA! :banana:

Yes I was born in Fargo, ND. My Dad grew up a little south of Minot, and we go hunting by there every year.
No I am not a volunteer fireman, though I do work with many that are. The light bar is just something I wanted to tinker around with. It is fully functioning and I wired up a complete control box inside the cab. Ill post some pictures in a day or so. But the light bar does make tailgating a blast! I cant tell you how many times I scared the crap out of my friends with this vehicle.
Thanks for the advice on the suspension lifts. I am still thinking it over and it will be a couple of months till I actually do anything. Though I am kind of curious, I think Toytec just added a new complete lift kit.
