New to the 4runner community

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I have been trolling around and searching for the "perfect" 4runner for the past couple of months. I finally was able to find one that wasn't overpriced and close enough to go look at.

I purchased a Red 1997 SR5 5-speed 4x4. I was really looking for a 99+ but in the Atlanta area these are incredibly expensive. I had a budget of 8,000 and was able to get this one for a lot less than my budget!

So far I love it. It has only 150,000 miles on it, new tires, new brakes, recent timing chain and all of that other big things done!

I'll post some pictures of it when I get home.

I'll probably take the running boards off tonight and start the "modding".

What are the steps in doing this? I have looked and looked again and can't seem to use the "right words" when searching to find a thread about it.

Is it a simple bumper swap?

Or is there more involved?

Yeah i saw that on CL last night, i was talking to FoneRunner about it, trying to tell him to buy it. Yeah looks great, you need to change the emblems though. The bumper swap i hear is fairly easy, and all you need is the bumper, the brackets are the same. I dont really like that bumper though, it sticks out too far. I did the 99+ Roof and Center Console mods. I also did the the 01 tails.
