Hi all, really glad to be apart of this group. Our family just bought our first 4Runner 2007 Limited V8. We use to own a Honda Pilot but when we purchased a Roo Rockwood Camper Trailer I found out after I bought it that the Pilot would not be able to tow it (go ahead and laugh, I would), 3500lbs was its limit. The trailer is rated at around 4000lbs and that is without all the gear. Did some research and found that the V8 4Runners limit is 7000lbs. so we bought it. I have been SOOO impressed with this vehicle. I thought the Pilot was good but the 4Runner blows it out of the water in so many areas, towing being one. I really like the new body styles of the new 4Runners but they do not make them in a V8. Can someone please tell me why? I probably would of purchased one if they came in a V8 option. Best.

welcome to the forum. you will spend alot of time here. it will save you money but make you spend the money you saved on moidifactions!
they do make the 2010 and newer 4 runners in V8, it just has a "L" on the hood. And Starts @ $49k where the 4runner limited ends LOL

Pilot VS 4runner long time debate:
depending on what year you comparing it to, <08 or 09+
two different machines vs the v8 runner.
main reason i chose a v8 runner was V8 and real body on frame truck chassis. unlike the Honduh.
the runner is a truck, the pilot is a car like truck
