New to the board and my FIRST 4Runner!!!

I haven't done any mods yet but I am lookin' forward to it! When I get my system set up I will take pictures of it and put it on here! Its great to be apart of this board...4Runner Pride(I bought this 4Runner right after I got back from Iraq...fell in love with it instantly)!

I am new to mods...I have been reading alot about it. I want 33" tires on my Runner...so I will need to lift it. That is my first adevture with mods. I am just looking for the best way to lift it. Any suggestions and what companies are out there to buy lift kits from/or who to use...some day this will be a 4x4 trail certified beast...just startin out...and any suggestions again would be great.

Hey man...they are 31" BF Goodrich A/T's and the bike rack(hitch style) is by Thule...I love the rack...its easy to use and looks good on the Runner!

Very nice truck and it looks like the previous owner jump started teh modding which is nice but I do however have mixed feelings about brush guards. On one hand they do enhance the appearance a bit but on the other they cover up the frontend of the truck and I think Runners have such a nice looking frontend it's a shame to cover it up.
The other thing is that brush guards will do more damage to the front even in a small fender bender than it would without and off road they shorten the approach angle quite a bit.
I do love the lights and I'd love to have that exact pair mounted right on the bumper but my budget is too tight at the moment.

Actually I bought the 4Runner and upgraded everything that is on it...it came like you would buy it off the lot. I have put alot of money into it for sure so far and I havent even started with lifts or anything...but right now it suits my needs...just trying to get a decent audio system set up in it. I only put the Brush Guard on honestly for looks and so I had an easy place to mount my Piaa's...thanks for some info on the brush guard though...education or tidbits are always welcome here.

and slap some sliders on there. these were 135 shipped from trail gear!!!

I was about to defend the running boards...then I saw what those guards you got look like and I'm leaning towards them.

Any drilling required? 135 isn't bad at all, very, very tempting.

there welde on. you could bolt em if you want but they arent comin off!

yeah you weld them to the frame.

you will have to factor in paying someone to do it if you dont know how or know someone who does.

I did the revtek suspension lift It costed me about 300 I installed it my self, took about 3 hours and it gave me about a 3 inch lift, Then I added my Durango M/t's which are 32's those costed about 100 each. So thats where I am to now. I am trying to decide what I should do next probably the deckplate mod, sliders, a roofrack, I dunno. We'll see what happens
