Just wanted to say hello. I am new to the board. I just purchased my wife a 2006 Sport 4Runner today...So far we are both loving it. It handles very nice...I currently drive a Nissan Murano and am a member at nissanmurano.org....I am sure I will be on this board as well. I need to start reading up on mods I can do to it....

Welcome to the board! Congrats on the new ride and good luck with it. Any ideas on where you are going to start with the mods? Also, I think nissanmurano.org and this site are related in some way.

As far as mods...hmmmm...Ordered a K&N filter already, all weather masts...going to get a remote start installed soon, add the homlink...not sure what else I will do...Nothing major, since we are leasing it...Took advantage of the awesome lease deal going on now....

Wecome to the family. Now what sort of great lease deal did you get?

And aux lights, and pushbars are a nice addition to the rig. Mine is leased and i did those mods for her

Congrats and welcome

The current lease promo that Toyota is running seems very aggressive. We did a 3 year lease, 15,000 miles per year. We put 2K down, and our lease payments are just under $330 a month including tax....Seems pretty darn good to us, for a vehicle that stickered at $35,000..........

That is pretty good. I leased mine in Sep 04 for 39 mths and 15k with 25 down a year ( i did have some extras on it though) and the lease came out to be 370 a month. You def got a good deal

about 2500. Mine also came with that diamond plate glass stuff, an upgraded alarm and the bug shield. But still that was a great deal on your rig. did they have a lot to choose from or did you order/did they get it from another dealer for you?

Well they had one on the lot in the Shadow Mica, which we both liked, but thought it was a little too dark for us. They would have given us that one for just under $315 per month with the same terms as what we got...We both ended up deciding that it was worth the extra $15 or so per month to get the color we wanted (Titanium Metallic) which they had to get from a dealer about 100 miles away...It does bother me some, that we are going to end up paying a few hundred more for just a different color, but o-well...We love it so far...

As you can tell from the fan fair about this truck, it is trully the best for the money, (and more). It handles great, and has plenty of power and room. Did you get the sunrof by any chance

Milgrad,

I am in the market for a new 4runner and was wondering if you might share some numbers from your lease, money factor, residual... I was just wondering what to expect with my dealers around here when I start talking numbers with them. This would be my 4th leased car and I work the leases out using several spreadsheets I have made. Actually I am trying to figure out if I should purchase this car. I think they are really making some great deals on these SUVs right now.

I am very envious of your purchase. I just drove an 06 SE today and it was AWESOME. I have 2 cars now - an '03 350z and a '93 4runner. Going to consolidate into one and I think it will be the 4runner. The thing drove much, much better than I expected. I guess I am used to the taught right of the car and the bouncy ride of my old 4runner!

Anyway, best wishes with the new purchase. Please PM me if you don't want to share any lease numbers publicly.

Thanks - Drake!

Welcome to the 4Runner Family, Milgrad! You've come to the right place to find mods and everything you need to know about the 4Runner!

I am interested in your opinion on how the 4Runner compares to the Nissan Murano.
