Bought my first 4runner 2 weeks ago. '95 V6 4wd, dark blue, very pretty IMO. I always wanted a mid 90's midsize SUV. I just returned from a deployment with my Marine Reserve unit, so I had some extra cash to spend, and I think I spent it well. I already have done some minor tinkering with a few problem areas (timing belt, plugs, new cat) and I have some toys on the way already (light bar, lights, some interior pieces). I think this board is great, well moderated, and can't wait to get input from all of you, and eventually give some of my own.

I'm in the same boat as you. I bought my first 4Runner recently, 1993 SR5 V6 4WD, 5-speed manual, Dark Blue. I have spent close to $2,100 in repairs and maintenance. I love the truck though. I just joined the forums as well. I have gotten some great info from here so far.

I some things from Ebay, some things direct from the company, and a few on places like autopartswarehouse.com. Got my rear springs, shocks and torsion bars direct from Downey. I really just tried to find the lowest prices I could, didn't really care who it was from. We'll see how I feel about that when I get screwed over.
