Hello all! Long Beach, Ca here!
First I've been a lurker...now its time for business. Very recently I totaled my 2010 V8 Double Cab Tundra. I'm thinking I will get about 15k - 19k depending on how well the insurance company cooperates. I'm in no need for a truck anymore but I go camping and climbing all the time. I've been doing some research on the 4 runner and realize that this is the vehicle I want....badly.
I've limited my search down to a 3rd gen (prefer 99 limited V6 4wd) or 2011+. I really really do not want another $500 car payment but......
If I can afford it would it be wise to get like a 2012 with super low miles or just pick up a 3rd Gen and fix it up? I know only time will tell how well the newer ones are built...because the older ones are solid as a rock from what I read.
Anyways I'll be posting here and there....I've gota make up my mind very soon.
