New to the forum and 4Runners from west Texas

Hello All,

Last week I purchased my very first 4Runner (and first Toyota, by the way). I've mostly only ever driven Chevy trucks. But I needed something smaller that could haul me and the kids around in the city and perform on camping trips in the mountains. I loved my last truck and hated trading it in. It was a great vehicle and had a 6.2L engine (I miss all that torque a little).

But WOW is this new 4Runner amazing!!! It is the nicest and most comfortable vehicle I have ever had. It's got all kinds of options I never had on my trucks. It's a 2014 SR5 Premium 4WD.

I don't plan to do any off-road mods, but do plan on getting WeatherTech mats and maybe putting the Polk DB speakers from my truck into the 4Runner. Although I may just do the simple 3.5 Infinity speaker upgrade to the dash speakers that some have raved about in threads here.

This forum helped me a lot over the last couple of months in making this decision. I'm a long time active member of the GM-Trucks forum, so this isn't anything new to me.

Welcome to the forums and to 4Runner ownership.

You definitely have to get a 4Runner type avatar though. I'm pretty sure it's a major rule or something. :bounce::biggrin1: j/k

And of course I was kidding but you definitely need to document before and after you get it dirty and after all the modifications you will want to make to it.
