New to the forum...Ebrake with Tacoma rear issues

Hey Guys I'm new to the Forum, Just traded my 86 ext cab for an 88 runner...One issue I'm having is that it has a 04 Tacoma Rear but I can't figure out how to get the emergency brake to work. Has anyone dealt with Tacoma rears and got the e brake to work or fabbed something up to make it work? Any input would be awesome. Thank you

What problem are you having exactly? Is the e-brake froze? No pressure when you pull it?

Thanks USE911! Well the issue is that the ebrake cannot be hooked up because my 63" leafs are in the way, it's an 04 taco rear so the mounting points for the brake cable are in a different spot I believe..and I feel like if I manage to custom make something to get the ebrake cable on that my runner will over flex the cable ...

Yup, pics would help. If I'm understanding your problem correctly, the spring pack is too thick and in the way between the guides on the axle and the ebrake levers on the drums?

Extend the lever on the drum, and move the guides on the axle. Or convert to disc brakes, and put an ebrake on the transfer case.
