new to the forum...question about lights

So I apologize in advance for repeating or asking silly questions. I just got my 1999 4runner last year because, frankly, I liked the "power" in it. I gave my hubby the 4-cyl, brand new Dodge crossover and haven't looked back since. Now, I have decided to spruce her up a little bit

It might be corny..but I like those euro style lights and bought some for the back lights. My question though is, if i swap out the front corner and bumper lights, are those legal?? I live in NY, small city outside of Buffalo and I certainly don't want to attract any negative attention to me (i.e. cops).

As far as I know, as long as they are working, and are the correct colors they should be fine. Just make sure they are DOT approved. Should say in the listing.

tyvm for the reply! I guess as long as I have the amber bulb, I should be ok. I'm going to try it anyway because I love the clear lenses. If I get a ticket, I'll just put the factory corner's back in lol!

I don't see any reason why you would get a ticket as long as you have the amber bulbs in... Never heard of such a thing and I'm pretty sure 1/2 the forum is running clear corners and bumper lenses.

I don't even have the amber bulbs... screw that! A spec of orange in my otherwise clear light?!
