New Lexus GX to the forum

I'm new to this forum and building a utra lux trail lex.

255/75 R17 BF MT KM

List of mods so far
-Pre KDSS
-Independent Fog Light
-(3) 12v outlet rear w/ fuse panel
-1.25 Daystar Spacer (preload)
-255/75R17 BF Mud Km
-Expedition Rack & Ladder (My old Range Rover HSE)

Furture Mods
-Extend coilovers arm 1.5" to get the full over 3" lift and keep the ride dramper control.
-Dual battery
-Full BullBuit skids
-Upper control Arm
- And whatever else comes to mind

Very nice!! Tell us more about your GX and the mods?? Do you have KDSS???

Actually, a friend of mine (TexGX) is trying to build an expedition vehicle with his KDSS GX470! I am sure that he would be very interested in what you have done!

Off-Road GX

Very nice mods! Wow, while many (most?) 4Runner owners do not take their vehicles off-road, the number of GX owners who do is surely even smaller. Guess that's why you posted here instead of on the ClubLexus site - the soccer moms and dads just wouldn't understand!

Very cool...I have an '06 GX470 Sport w/KDSS. interesting to see the mods done...only mod I have is the nav speed override...and removal of the 3rd row (rarely use it).

Great mods, thanks for the photos. I myself am still in a T4R, but have been considering a GX for the wife's next ride. She likes the T4R a lot, and a friend of ours has a several year old GX (an '06 maybe?) which she likes too.

Has anyone gotten or at least driven the new GX (with the 4.6L V8 & AWD)? I was wondering what the slightly smaller V8 felt like in it, power-wise. Is there a noticeable power difference or not? I know what the AWD drives/rides like since I already have that system in my T4R. I can tell you Toyota's quasi-AWD system is MUCH better than the one my Hummer H3 Alpha had in it...

It's the Prado 120's bumper from ARB. Are you wired in parallel all the time or do you have it switched?

It's custom, but the idea came from the Prado and other guys who did dual batteries up front. The batteries are parallel with a 200amp soilenoid that is signal from the inside fuse panel when the key is in Acc or On/ Enigine start mode.
