Good day to all.
Well......I made the leap from "lurker" to poster. Please forgive me for not introducing myself earlier.
Here are a few facts that may help put my posts or comments in proper context.

1) Retired timber cruiser
2) Into cars & "rigs"
3) Owned 5 4Runners (89, 92, 96, 00 & 08)
4) Drive for a Toyota/Honda dealership
5) An outside dog that loves to hike & hunt.
6) Married almost 37 years to a very patient and understanding wife.

I love my new 08 Urban Runner that I purchased last February. I HAD to make a few changes before the love really took hold.

1) 1.5" Cornfed front lift (I really fixated on the raked front.....It gave it a "car-like"
look and feel....I bought a rig, not a car)

2) Took off the large driverside visor and retained the miny-visor (Again, it was a fixation thing with me but, I found my self crooking my neck like a turkey vulture to see out the window with the seat bottom adjusted high)

3) Removed the double decker cargo thingy. Way to "urban" for me (I have 2 130 pound Golden Retreivers that need every inch)

4) Speaking of "Urban".....The chrome badge had to go...yes, another fixation.

5) New 18" Michelin Latitudes and an extra set of Tundra rims and Michelin AT 2 tires for fall-winter.

6) The Tom-Tom navigation was a plus,
especially when I realized it had Blue-tooth
.....after 3 months I discovered it...duhh.

7) The final touch was adding XM radio
which I'm now questioning after the Sirius merger (lost my 2 favorite channels)

Note: As a driver for a Toyota/Honda dealership in The Dalles, Oregon I get the pleasure of checking out and driving all the new cars and trucks that Toyota and Honda make, save the Honda S2000 (always trailered). We deliver in all western states as far away as Montana and even Texas!
***I'm not a salesman but can assure you that they can get you killer deals with the best buying experience ever. These folks are not your run of-the-mill snake salesmen.

Thanks to all that contribute to this most valuable site.

I made the same jump from lurker to registered user as well but I don't want to hi-jack your thread, just wanted to echo your sentiments about this sites valuable information...

Btw, nice color :-P

Welcome guys! :bigok: 4Given, nice mod list! I may have to go remove my drivers' side visor now:D
