Hi Ricky,
I am new to! This is my first post. I really like this forum and have already gained some great knowledge. Thanks to everyone.
I picked up a 2003 Limited V6, 2 weeks ago. Every option but navigation. Titanium w/ grey leather.
I could not be happier, traded in a 2000 BMW 323CI and I don't miss it at all. The interior on the new 4runner is amazing and it handles quite well.

No thanks to Webshots! I use to be on there (I'm a photographer) but anyone and everyone can steal your pictures, without asking! I went to this guys webshot site, and my car was on it, with the pictures I took! He claimed it wasn't mine, until I told him to look harder!
So I can't use the attach file feature?

no matter where you post up pix, people will be able to steal your pictures...
there's really no way around it unless someone can prove me wrong.
Even if you upload a picture here and post it, i'll be able to take it for myself or anyone else can...
so.... dunno....

Lance is right -- if you can't download the picture directly, there are tools to capture an image from the screen (example: Hypersnap from HyperIonics).
Even the places that put the site name in them can be cleaned up with tools, if someone really wants to take the time to do it.
Just like locking your car -- if someone really wants in, they will find a way.

I am new also, although I have already made a few posts. This is my first 4runner, and I traded a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee on it. I think I made a real good decision. I liked the Jeep a lot, but it just had way too many problems, and it only had 43k miles. My new Runner only has about 400 miles on it, but that will change this weekend when I take it up to the mountains in WV. Guess I'll get to try that 4WD out up there in the snow!! I can't wait. Anyway, I'm EXTREMELY happy with it so far, and I hope to have it for a long time.

If you plan to do some mild offroading with rocks involved, make sure you take off the running boards as you don't want to damage them and have them ride up the doors!
I took mine off before my offroading fun! And I'm happy to say taking it off saved myself some $$ as i ate the passenger side pretty badly, enough to pop some of the tabs off the passenger fender... so now i have a slit on the side of the fender... the bottom cladding has some nice scratches boy these thing take a beating... way better than the sheet metal (if it was - it'd be in the body shop!!)
boy this is when u want sliders... arg!!! but i know the running boards would have bent up and rode up the door soo.....

Howdy, I think you used to post on Edmunds asking about the 4Runner. You asked me about the power of the 3.4 V6. My answer was the power was quite good not it's strong point and if there is one thing about the SUV, it is the ride. Now that you have had the 4Runner for awhile. How do you like the power and ride.
I can't imagine somone stealing your pictures, actually I downloaded your pictures. It was such a good looking 4Runner. I would love to post one of your pictures for others to see. Can I post your picture???

Hiya Peter, I remember you on there! Been a long time buddy! I use to hang out there a lot! Then they changed the format and I lost interested. I found a really nice 4 Runner forum on http://www.outdoorwire.com and started hanging out there. Nice to also find this place this one. As far as stealing pictures, I was more concern with some portraits that I had on Webshots. I wanted to show them but didn't want to give them away. I've been on other photo sites that don't allow you to right click and "save as" on their site, so to keep people more honest.
Enough with the photo stuff any way. We are on a 4 Runner site, so I would love to see everyone 4 Runner, I think I will do a little reading to see if I can catch up on topics here.

I'm not so worried b/c if some ass wants to pretend their ride is actually mine... Well, impersonation is the highest for of flattery, right?
BTW - I still haven't posted any pics b/c the weather in southern N.E. ts so bad the truck is never clean.... But who cares?!

I like Edmunds, but it is usually for new car buyers. It help me in my buying decision. I have seen you on Outdoorwire a few times. That is a good site, also I like the new forum YotaTech. I kept seeing this forum and Thai did 98% of the posts and I thought I would help out. Hopefully this site will take off.

Welcome to all the new members. Yes, you can attach pics - it's very easy to do. When composing a post, just click on the "browse" button in the attach file section. Then find the file on your computer's hard drive or flooppy and double click on the pic file and it shoud automatically get inserted in the box. Then hit "submit reply" and the pic should automatically appear. If you use the "preview reply" feature, you'll have to reattach it or it won't show up when you post.RLJSlick said:No thanks to Webshots!
