Just got delivery of my 2004 Sports Edition 4wd. It's awesome, I love it. Thinking about tinting driver and front passanger windows to match the rest. Any suggestions?

me too

I too thought about it, would look great with my all black sport edition. But i think in California they will ticket you for that, which i think is crap. plus i don't want the after market tint that is stuck on the inside of the window. After time they fade and get torn and start to peel in corners. Wish there was factory ones.
Good luck to you though, i bet it will look great.

If you never had tint on your car before, I suggest you drive at night with sunglasses on before getting tint. I went little too dark...5% all around and it looks awesome but I can't reverse at night without rolling the windows down.

I think the ink in the back windows are somewhere around 20%. Check with your local tint law before matching the tint because 20% on front windows are illegal in most states.

Thanks for suggestions. I desided to keep front windows unchanged. i noticed today, that those are tinted already, just less than back ones.

I've had tint on my last five cars, some were professionally done and some I did myself. Never had any fading, bubbling or any problems at all.

BTW, it IS illegal here, too, but the cops generally just seem to ignore it. (KNOCK ON WOOD!) :D

you guys like this without the emblems??

i am thinking of taking off my emblems, so i borrowed and changed you photo to see how it would look...what you think??

Looks just fine. I thought about debadging it, but am just going to leave it stock for the time being. I did quite a few mods on my '02 but am happy with this one right out of the box.

I debadged everything and I think it looks much better and smoother. Also, much easier when you wax your car. If you are gonna do it then do it soon before the tape gets hard.

Nice truck. Good luck with it. I like it without the debadging on the side. I do not know about the liftgate though. It may look bad because the whole liftgate will be plain.

How do you debadge?
The letters are held on by double sided tapes. If it's still soft you might be able to just pull them off. I was able to pull most of them off but I used dental floss for the bigger letters in the back. Slide the floss behind the letters and just work it back and forth until you separate the letters from the tape. Then all you gotta do is just rub the tape off with your fingers. Take your time and be very careful when removing the letters, they have sharp edges and they will leave a scratch.
