I just bought a 1990 3.0L 4Runner that does not have any currrent wiring. I have a standard 4 pin harness and found the pack of wires underneath that appear to go to both of the rear tailights. But I do not know which ones to slice into. Can somebody please help me?? The colors of the wires under the rear bumber are: green&yellow, green&red, green&white, yellow&black, Red&White, red&blue, white&black
And yes I did do a search but could not find much on the 2nd Gen trailer wiring.

Thanks!

Hey there DD

If I remember correctly, you'll need a converter wired in. I use to work in a trailer shop and I recall yours is one model that requires it.

You might try googling '90 toyota trailer wiring' and see what comes up. I might be wrong.

If you do need the converter, they're not that much, but you'll want to NOT opt for the 'scotch lock' wiring clips, soldering them will keep wiring troubles away, as butt connectors and scotch locks can be problematic.

Best of luck

Also, a test light will help you alot in isolating the wires you need, since you're wiring in a flat 4 trailer plug.
