Very nice Koz. I hear people rave about the trailmanors because of the light weights and ease of towing but they are very rare in my neck of the woods. Wouldn't mind hearing a review, especially on setup, once you've had some use. Should make for an enjoyable summer.
 
Thanks, It weighs 2865 dry and about 4000 loaded (it's about half the weight of a regular trailer the same size). I'll have a 450 mile test drive when I pick it up (to bring it home).

Something about RV/Trailers always sparked an interest to me.

If a women has never been camping they see it as a major inconvenience and/or a lot of extra work and not pleasurable. This is one of the reasons I'm upgrading to this trailer. Trust me when I say, camping in a trailer like this is NOT really camping. Even the camp grounds today are not like they used to be. My next camping trip/grounds will include water, electric, sewage, cable TV and wireless internet hook-ups. They also have all the features of a resort with three swimming pools, etc. If you have kids/family there are much more activities then any hotel. You can even take your dog (s)! What we really love about camping/trailers is being able to park our own luxury apartment (so to speak) and see this BEAUTIFUL country. To us there is nothing better then off-roading through the old mining roads in Colorado or sight seeing over the peak of the Blue Ridge mountains (on the REAL Skyline Drive) or camping right on a beach. Life doesn’t get any better then that (except sharing it with the people you love).

Picked up The New Trailer

Everything went well, 900 miles total. I was very impressed with the quality of the materials used and the overall design/construction of the trailer. The trailer was incredibly smooth and stable at any speed. There is no need for any type of sway or weight dist system. I did drop 6 mpg towing. I got 20.5 (at 75 mph) without and 14.5 (at 65 mph) on the way back. Going through PA there were many long inclines (mountains) that required 4th gear. Once in 4th gear it would maintain ANY speed, at any grade, no problem. The trailer is ROCK solid, it never lost stability or jumped around even going over some really bad roads at highway speeds (and on turns). The radial 225/15s with the independent susp set-up works great. The only things so far that I think need to be modified is the fire extinguisher location (rubs when assembling the door) and the propane tank area (wires also) needs shielding. Also the bathroom walls needs some velcro to keep it from hitting the towel rack when assembling. I will be replacing some lighting to LED. All the running lights are already LED. I can't wait to take my first camping trip with the new rig!

Good looking TT. Sounds like the towing was nice and smooth and at 14.5mpg that’s great. The best I have gotten while towing a TT was 11mpg but it usually hovers around 9mpg.

How’s that single axel setup? I often wonder if the stability would be the same vs a duel axel setup. Did you encounter any crosswinds?

How about, what I like to call “suck and spit”? That is when a big rig (18 wheeler) is passing you and you get sucked over towards the rig as it approaches, then just as its passing you get spit back out and pushed away from the rig.
 
I'm really surprised that you lost 6 MPG. That's crazy. It's funny how their website says it only takes 1 gallon extra per 100 miles.

Is that a folding hitch on the camper?

What are the specs on it?

One bed or two? Shower, toilet?

I have looked at the same model. I would like a review about it too. Oh yeah, have a good summer with the trailmanor.

The reason I lost 6 mpg was the mountain inclines; I had to keep it in 4th gear the whole trip back. I also was traveling at 65 mph. On flat land I could lock-up 6th gear and on mild inclines I could lock-up 5th gear. The difference between 4th and 5th gear is almost 1000 rpm (almost 2K rpm compared to almost 3K rpm). I’m sure I would get at least 2 more mpg if I could have used 5th gear. The one thing I can tell you is; in 4th gear there was no loss of momentum or strain on the engine/trans no matter how steep the incline, what-so-ever. I think on flat land that 1 gal per 100 miles is obtainable. TrailMonor trailers are approx half the weight of a regular travel trailer of the same size. They use aircraft Tech and materials. Two pieces of aluminum filled with polystyrene. There is NO wood (particle board or wood chips) used anywhere in this trainer (even the floor-3” and counter tops 1”).

Yes that is a “swing hitch”, it cuts off 2 feet and it can be completely removed. I would not have been able to fit the trailer in my driveway (just over 18 ft). The trailer model number represents the length 27 ft open and 20 ft closed (18 ft with swing hitch). If my garage was not a junk yard I could fit it in there.

I got a Gulf Stream Amerilite a few years back. It weighs about the same as the one in the OP but it isn't collapsible. I spent enough time "camping" in the Army, now when I camp I want to be comfortable.

We have separate dishes, silver wear, blankets etc. Having a trailer is nice, through in some clothes some bikes and fire wood, hook up the trailer and off you go. No more digging through the garage to get this or that and trying to shove everything in.

You will have fun. Here is a pic of mine:
