Heyall. Im about to get set up with new camburg uca's and some extended travel COs. I would just like to know who has the best prices online. I read on here that the camburg uniball uca's are 500$ but the only ones I see are 699$. Any help will be great and some suggestions on which coilovers get the most travel would also be great. Thanx

Well i was looking for the uniball set already assembled. I'm trying to get maximum articulation without going mid or long travel and dropping the $ on axles etc. I might just say forget it and just go with the balljoint ones and one of the toytec kits.

I think if you don't mind the maintenance of the uniballs you will get more wheel travel with these than the balljoint ones plus they have reinforcement at the welds

As far as I know, the tacomas and the 4runners have the same UCAs. If you're going with ext travel coilovers in the front, you definitely want to get uniballs over balljoints.

to bad you didn't need them sooner I was selling a new set of light racing a little bit ago

Crashman do you think the light racing is better than the camburgs you showed me before? Im just having a hard time looking past the boss kit. I know they're non rebuildable etc. smaller and just not as strong as say icon. How much difference in flex/travel/articulation are we really talking about? I want to stop teeder toddering for traction. This is a must. lol. Extended travel with uniball uca's costing 2k claims 9-10" of travel. Then it's another k for for the metal tech Ing travel rear. The Boss, the "cheap" rout is still around 1600$ but its front and rear and thats including ball joint style uca's. What kind of flex or how much travel will this kit get in comparison to the other?
 
Also look at the Desert Products UCA's. They are boxed construction and very good quality. Many times they can be had for $600-620.

First the front is limited in travel because it is a IFS that being said I went with the uniball to gain as much travel as possible
The light racing are more user friendly since the joint is sealed like the stock ones are but they are limited since the ball joint is on the bottom of the arm so the arm limits the travel
the unball can travel further since the stud goes through the ball so the arm is not in the way of the travel
Also the uniball arms are made stronger for more abuse
I hope that makes sense
One more thing on the metal tech rear... Since you have a "04" if you get the external reseviour shocks you will have to get your frame modified for it to work so figure you will have to figure about $200 or so extra

This is true, but only for the 2005+ Tacomas. The link posted is for up to 04 tacomas which will not fit a 4th gen 4runner.

Just go with the uniballs. You won't regret it.

And there's a lot of bad stuff on here about light racing, so I would stay away from those.
 
It's clear uniball is the way to go. I'm still having a hard time finding who makes the least expensive set. What im still trying to figure out is how much less travel will i have if i pair the uniball uca's with the toytec boss coilovers rather than extended travel icon coilovers.

As for travel, the extended travel coilovers from Icon, Radflo, Fox, etc, will give about a 3/4"-1" more droop compared to the toytec boss or other bilstein 5100 lift.
 
I don't want to offend
Finding the "cheapest" on a suspension part doesn't sound like a safe idea if these break on the highway at 70 I don't know what will happen but I don't think it will be pretty
Save money on lights of you need to but not on a major suspension parts
Just my $.02 ��
 
Thanks guys. Its not that im cheaping out. I was just under the impression that camburg sold a set of uniball uca's for $500 to battle the competition with total chaos.
