New user/4Runner owner question

Hi there,
Last weekend I've purchased my first 4Runner - 2001 SR5 Sport Ed.
I've been waiting for a loooong time for this.
Now, having time to 'analyze' the car, I've realized that is missing the -don't know for sure the name for it - cargo shelf/cover that will divide your cargo in 2 spaces and also cover whatever you have in the back. Also I think I'm missing the jack and tire iron which I think was supposed to be in that compartment on the right hand side wall of the cargo, right? Not even sure what exactly was supposed to be in there, that's my guess.
Now, my questions are:
-what's the technical name for that cargo shelf and where I can buy it from (I know there is internet and dealer, but where could be cheaper)
-was the jack supposed to be in that compartment?
-has anybody tried - successfully- to install anything to increase gas mileage and horsepower (I've read about K&N filters,Toyota 4Runner Fuel Saver, and the TRD exhaust that might help, but don't know for sure)

The jack is under the passenger side rear seat. As far as what is supposed to be in the rear cargo side panel, I have no idea as I'm missing whatever it was as well.

Dont waste your money on a KN intake.

The compartment in the back didn't officially come with anything but it holds jumper cables nicely and you can use the straps to secure road flares.

3rd gens didn't have a cargo shelf as you described and the part that they do offer is just a sliding security cover which you can find on ebay,yotatech or opn here time to time and usually they run under $100.

MPGs are hard to squeeze form our V6s but the best thing to do is just be light on the pedal when accelerating and keep it under 75 on the highway.

You can get about 7whp by installing a $200 K&N setup or just do the deckplate mod which can cost nothing with just the hole in the airbox but it looks nicer with the deckplate and a screen behind it to keep out larger debris.
A catback exhaust will free up a few ponies in the midrange but it's not really noticeable and the exhaust is more of a sound mod but still cool.
