New Windshield - Terrible Headlight Glare

In recent weeks I've noticed an unbearable intolerance to oncoming headlights. Initially, I thought it was eye strain but then I realized that it all started after having the windshield replaced a few weeks back.

Does this make sense? Is there anything I can apply to cut down on the glare?

after market windshields are not the same quality as OEM. Replacements often have distortions. Go back to the installer and ask for another windshield.

Actually, I don't know the details of the install. My dad had it done for me as a thank you for some help I gave him. That makes it a little tricky.

Distortion

I'd request an OE product or higher end brand (it's been a while but PPG, LOF were up there). Sometimes the lamination and glass quality in aftermarket isnt as good but if it's that bad it's likely distorted.

Or if you don't want it replaced again, you can pay to have it tinted with a light 50% or so. I couldn't stand the glare either and that makes sense!! mystery solved. The guy tinting my windshield used a heat gun and cracked it and replaced it, I'm sure with aftermarket. I could live with it for a few months before I had it tinted.
