I have a ton of scrap wood here at the pad. Was thinking I’d cut it up nice and run a truck load out there on Friday. Figure the more the merrier!

I still wanna find a spot out near chilitown, off the beaten path, hidden in the rocks that we can stash firewood in, instead of leaving it at camp when we leave. Then only tell a handful of us where it's at. I'm always seeing fresh tree cuts on CL for free, I would love to have a spot to stash it for future trips.

Checking in. Hoping to make it out for my first run with you guys. Trying to pull everything together. Have a CB but getting a BaoFeng so I can at least monitor the frequency--until I take the test. Not sure how I'll deal with an extra gas can though. I don't have any external storage at this point, maybe i'll get one of those NATO cans and keep it inside. If that doesn't work I could see how much I have left after the first day and decide if I have enough gas for the second day. Hope to see you out there.

Well it’s really your call, I don’t know your rig like you do as far as range is concerned. I have estimation of mileage in the OP so you can decide.
What year of truck do you have? 2 or 4wd?

Ya, its new to me so I'm still working it out. On a full tank it says it has a range of about 380 but who knows off road, This will be the time to find out. Its a stock 2014 4Runner Trail.

It varies a lot from vehicle to vehicle and driving style...
But I typically get 30-40% less range off road using 4wd and grabbing gears like Ivan Ironman Stewart hahaha:lookout:

And relearning how to drive now with a spool ...less throttle is better ..so now :kiss: you’ll gain back 25% of that 30-40% “Ironman”
