New Yokohomas put on today!

I just got home from Discount Tire and put 265/70/17 Yokohoma Geolanders H/T-S on with stockwheels 10.7 wide 31.8 tall . No lift no spacers. They look, ride and handle great. I went to an open parking lot and did full turns in all directions and no rubbing what so ever. Its raining like crazy here and they are awsome in the rain. No spin at a dead stop and flooring it. No problems on interstate or road when hitting high water.

Couple of questions:
1) Did you look at Yokohoma Geolanders AT vs H/T-S?
2) Since you went one size up do you feel any difference in acceleration/ engine response?

I did all the research and looking. Its the wifes ride and she dosnt do any off roading. They are basicaly the same size and have the same 60000 tread warranty. I have the old AT IIs on my truck and love them. The ride is way better and it handles better than the Dunlops. The speedo is only off 2-3 mph measuring with my gps at 60-80 mph. I got them for $122 a tire and the ATs were $126. I could have gone with either one and been happy. The ATs were on backorder and they would have to find them. And no differance in performance.

Looks great, I love the way your series (and the A/T's) Yok's hold balance. The other thing I like is when they are nearing the end the rubber still grips.

I just looked on Discount tire web site and H/T-S is $150.00.

I can't understand why some people have rub issues and some don't. On the same year even! Can't figure it out.


It does look like a tight fit though.

HT/S is a fine choice! It is relatively cheap and an excellent tire (sleeper among the popular brands).
