Newb 4WD question!

Does it matter what position the 4WD shifter lever is in when you park? No.

I know what 2Hi, 4Hi and 4Lo are for but why is there a nuetral position? I believe it's for situations where you are being towed.

should the 4WD system be in neutral when parked or does it matter? doesn't matter

Is it ok to leave the 4WD system engaged when parked? Yes - in fact I would do just that if expecting a blizzard overnight so you can avoid having to try to engage it in the morning.

At work now, looking forward to the Zoo of traffic that im going to have to face on the way home because it is still snowing like crazy, I'll have to post a picture or two tonight.

I heard cow town got quite the dump of snow today...+1 for edmonton!

but to add to your topic: I read the owners manual today and there is quite a bit of useful info.. in fact all your questions were answerd in the manual

Im not sure my 4runner still has the manual, I'll have to check on that next time Im out there, I dont remember seeing it in the glove box though.

Yeah Calgary got alot of Heavy snow yesterday but by the end of today it will all be melted away. This area has some crazy weather, it changes so fast.
