I'll start off with a bang.
I found an 86 4cly 5spd with about 200k miles but it has a popped head gasket, but still runs (i hope he hasnt been driving on it) the guy wants $900 and it looks a little rough (no rust im in AZ). Deal or no deal? Im gunna look at it soon.
My history, my first vehicle was a 91 FJ80 LandCruiser I bought when looking for a 4runner. Loved it 2.5" Old Man Emu lift, 33x10.50 BFG T/As, factory 4.10's and 4:1 low range. Just like that I stomped all over my buddies trucks and a jeep on the trail. Sadly 10mpg and pricey parts (156kmiles i think?) were too much for college. My dad had an 87 4runner with 316k miles on nothing but a rebuilt head he bought from a friend at the time, but he sold his too and i gut stuck into an 05 Honda Element (eh it hauls snowboards real well and makes beer runs) and my dad an 06 Acura RSX and now back to a 98 2wd 4runner with some bigger Michellin LTX's on it that bounces us around on the trail when we want to.
