newB with questions

I have a 95 V6 automatic 4x4 4runner that I just bought (and do not have the owner's manual for) and I was wondering:
a) what is the little green button by the gear shifter for?
b) how to put it into 4x4 mode? Need to be stopped or what?
c) I am in San diego, should I use 10w-30 oil in it? I was thinking Mobil 1 synthetic.
d) where can I get an owner's manual?

Hey,

The answer to c) is probably good. Check the weight of the oil with the temperature that you run your vehicle at.

d) Owners manuals can sometimes be bought from a dealer, I picked mine up from a mechanic on a Toyota dealer. You can also sometimes purchase these from the internet like Ebay etc

Thanks for the info on the owner's manual.

I found out what that little button is for I was asking about: "ECT Power". Electronically Controlled Transmission I guess it stands for. Supposed to make your shifts later up in the RPMs. I think with gas prices like they are, I will keep that button "off".

Ah just push the button! If it was red I bet you'd push it without even asking questions. I only use mine when I want to make it up a hill which is next to never.
