I'm new to this forum, only hearing about it from another forum, FJ Cruisers. I'm glad it's here and plan to be active.
I have two 4Runners: a 1987 lifted tan 4Runner that is in need of body work, and my daily driver, a 1988 gray 4Runner with no lift but 31-inch tires with a new paint job.
One of the reasons I joined this forum is to get some advice. In a posting on another forum years ago, I saw a member describe how he has fashioned a pulley system in his garage to remove the roof on a 1st gen 4Runner. I never bookmarked the page and would like to see if anyone here has a way to remove the roof in a one-man operation with the roof resting and secured 10 feet above the garage floor. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
