NEWBIE from TEXAS

Just purchased my first T4R, a '11 SR5 4x4. It is an AWESOME vehicle so far. I traded in a '08 Mercedes Benz ML 320CDI, all whell drive diesel. It was a good vehicle but VERY EXPENSIVE to keep on the road. Costs ~$500 everytime I went in for service and the ONLY place you can buy motor oil was from M-B.

Looking forward to about 150,000 of SERIOUS FUN from this new vehicle, Looks like I will add the 2.5" spacer kit pretty early and some 33" tires when these wear out.

Does anyone know if it's possible to install the Toyota factory NAV system in my vehicle? It currently has the standard factory radio and I don't want to install an aftermarket system - not worth it and I LOVE the factory look.

Hi William, dont know much about your NAV system deal but if its factory on other rigs like yours should be a cinch,
But special oil from Benz ? cool, wonder what that stuff is,
Anyway, Howdy and welcome, seen nobody answered you post so find a wadded up Toyota pile @ the bone yard and see if the NAV stuff will just bolt on, thats what I would try,

Shouldn't be a problem. But, why would you want to when your cellphone has one? I've always thought GPS's in todays vehicle are unnecessary since almost everyone has a personnel GPS in their phone. It's just another cost you should have to pay for if you ask me. But, to each his own.

What was costing you $500 a pop on the less than 4 years old MB Diesel? Do you care expand a bit on your experience? Personally I am interested in a diesel engined car next (my '94 Vigor has over 228K miles, and just got its first clutch job at about 219K), I don't really want to part w/ it just yet...
