Hi everyone.
I'm new to the Toyota 4runners but not new to Toyotas. I just picked one up for $700.00 with 156,000 miles on it. It is a v6 with auto transmission and of course 4x4. It does have some rust but the reason I got it so cheap is because a rear control arm "shackle"? busted off and I had to have it towed over forty miles to my mechanic. I was told that it was an easy fix but is that true?.Couple of other things that were in need of fixing is the antenna is broke completely off so needless to say I don't get any radio stations. The sunroof does not open and close on its own. However if you hit the switch the motor works and something moves up there but the sunroof doesn't open. It almost sounds like something needs to be hooked up.
Anyways I'm very excited to get this truck going. I am a Ford guy and that will never change but for the reliability of a Toyota I could not pass this up. Can I expect to get alot more miles and dependability from this truck? Thankyou for any advise or help you can give me now and in the future.
