newbie help with navi

I am currently looking for a double din screen with gps capabilities for my 2001 4runner. I really dont know much about it, so any suggestion would greatly help. I would like to keep it cheap around $600. I have been looking at the sony XAV-W1 and it is in my price range, but i don't know if it will fit correctly? Does anyone know if it will fit?

One way you can tell is if you go to Crutchfield.com and fill in your model, make and all that good information.

Look for HUs made by Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer.

i know about crutchfield but there are only a few options on the site and they are all more than i want to spend.

Why not get something like a Crossover, so that you can use it in more than one car, then when you go hiking/wheeling, you can take it with you?

I didn't mean to buy it from Crutchfield. Use them to figure out which ones fit and then buy it from another company.

yeah man it will fit. Will actually look almost factory because since its double din you wont have to use a gap filler like smaller units require. you will just pull the old radio out and the wimpy excuse for an amplifier toyota provides and hook those up to the sony's wiring harness and four screws later your done, and maybe a few wires here and there. It took me 45 minutes to install my panasonic and its virtually the same thing. Hardest part was running the antenna, and that wasnt even hard. If you need any help shoot me a pm. Good luck
