Newbie here, looking to buy soon....

Hi. As the subject says, I'm a newbie here and I'm looking to buy a 05 4Runner by summertime. I've just started my research and I've narrowed it down to either the Sport V6 or Sport V8, both 4x2. Some of the other features I want are leather, sunroof, heated seats, and spoiler.

I currently drive a white 04 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L. I've added the OEM body kit, deck spoiler, and 18" Enkei RP03 wheels. However, I recently came to the conclusion that I HATE drive a 2 door car! Also, I find Honda paint to be terrible... chips too easily and the white also stains at the drop of a dime.

I've searched the forum to try to find what people are paying for:

1) Sport V6 4x2 - leather, heated seats, sunroof, spoiler
2) Sport V8 4x2 - leather, heated seats, sunroof, spoiler

but the results have been fairly inconclusive. I'm looking for the price before TT&L because taxes and licensing in Louisiana is normally drastically different than other states.

Any help would be appreciated, and if I have posted this in the wrong section, please let me know.

suggest u try edmonds web site. they have a number they post of what people are generally paying for vehicles with the options u choose. it helped me to a certain extent.

Is leather even an option on the Sport? Or is it dealer installed?

BTW, all modern automotive paints are soft. Toyota's is no different. My '02 Lexus front end is chipped to hell.

thanks for the replies. Do you think I should be able to get invoice or lower?

When I go to "Build Your Toyota" leather is an option for the Sport. It doesn't specified if it's dealer installed or not. If it is dealer installed, I'll probably just hold off on it and get it done somewhere cheaper... maybe even 2-toned.

If I can finish working out early today, I'll head over to one of the local dealerships to test drive. Maybe I'll be able to figure out which engine I want.

Heated leather is only available in the Limited, but you can have them installed aftermarket.
