That's a good price on an '02 4wd period even if the miles are kinda high for the year and it's the rare red Sport Edition. Here in Denver that Runner would easily go for a few thousand more.
 
Thanks guys, I am figuring out what my payments will be. But i have to say man that thing was awesome, only thing is it didn't have a trailer hitch and I need one just to pull a little trailer for my mowers or 4wheeler.
 
Sounds about right for the price, although mileage is a bit high for that year. There are a few 4runners on eBay with less milage but older years '00 and '01. But any 4runner with 100K is just a baby and just gettin started. Mines got 160K and still going strong.
 
Its at a dealer...just beat him up a little and get him down to a price you like. They start high, you start low...just play the game!
 
Oh i tired they said they wouldnt come off the price at all. I would like 12500 out the door and i would be happy. I looked up the nada and blue book value and it was around 16k.

If you walk in ther with a bank check or $12,500 in cash I can pretty much bet that truck is yours. If they play hardball you play back. They want the sale, thats all they care about.
 
Ahh if i only had 12500 cash, id like to wave that in front of em and say take it or leave it. I have some cash but not that much being a 21 year old college student. Anyways were gonna try to get one of those blank check loans, and hopefully that will give us more negotiating power.
 
I like it, GET IT! I understand the money though, I got mine for $8000 or I would've not had the joy of owning a 4runner it had 120k on it when I bought it and EVERYBODY said "that's nothing on a yota" except one guy but he's a d*ck anyway

Define too high? For the $$ it's right in the market value for a 4Runner in that age which is 5-6 years old right now. As long as it's cared for it'll see another 100k with very minimal issues if any. $12k is a steal for the year and the miles. Now if it had another 25k on the odo it might be a bit high.
 
I mean the condition of it was so nice while driving it was so quiet i couldn't even hear the motor running. I just want something to be reliable driving back and forth to school, and something that isn't gonna be anything more than regular maintenance. It would probably almost take me 2 years to put 25k more miles on it.
 
Yeah just not a lot of money to replace things, but it was really nice, Oh and its not leather the seats are cloth with a like a mesh (sorta like the newer nissans) They look better in person than in the pics.
 
Dealerships can be tough to haggle on a 4runner. They know that will not have a problem selling it to someone else. I bought my '98 Limited 4x4 almost a year ago with 59,331 on the odometer and it was like pulling teeth to budge on the price! They didn't want me to test drive it for too long because people kept coming in to look at it. I got after TT+L and a slight negative trade for $12,000 out the door. It now has 69,000 miles.
 
One bargain point is that it is due for a timing belt. That's a somewhat costly repair use that to have them lower the price.
