not a huge fan of the clear tails(although they are better than altezza/eurotails) otherwise a real clean truck.

i just couldn't stand the color AMBER/ORANGE anywhere on the truck.

wait till i put the cheap wire mesh behind my grill. (of course my intentions are to keep the bugs out) but i think it'll add 5 more horsepower too......

A guy on a Celica forum I am on has a kit that might work on the 4runners that makes the amber part red. looks real good on the celinever seen it done on 4runners.

I redded out the tails on my Acura RSX by putting red translucent vinyl over the amber lense, it looked factory and you couldn't tell where the vinyl ends and the lens begins....

I believe thats what the kit has that the Celica guy is selling. I never got a chance to put them on my Celi to find out.

where do u get such vinyl and how do you apply it?

Today I couldn't pass the inspection because of the tail lights. Then anotehr place said that my brake lights were looking white. He was right. The silicone bulb overs were turning white. So much for heat resistant.

Anyhow, I saw some 9 LED type kind but they didnt have any for my size. I just bought a pair that looked like they'd fit into the connector.

Got my dremel and started cutting the pastic housing then once i took the middle part out, i put some hot glue in there to hold it together. Total process for 2 bulbs took me 2 hours.

The tailight turn signal bulb cover hasn't turned white probably due the fact that it turns ON then OFF allowing it to cool down.

I also changed all my blue bulbs to amber so i can get my inspection sticker tomorrow.

My brake side of the taillights are clear when not light. And bright circular red when lit. I love LEDs. I'll take pics tomorrow night and show ya'll.

ps My ABS light is on. I'm sure it has to do with the LED bulbs i installed.
