Newbie idiot. 1987 4runner electrical short.

Wow this thread is going a little sideways. lol The wife is great. She wants me to get something new because she says I deserve to drive something nicer, but I am totally happy with what I have. Its a hard concept for a lot of people but, And I know I am generalizing here so I apologize if I offend.... it seams to be tougher for those lacking a Y chromosome. Its not a judgment, just an observation.

I don't power wash my engine, but it kinda was fun scrubbing down the entire engine compartment on my recent engine rebuild/replacement! I got every nook and cranny!! Imagine scrubbing 30 years of grease off of a giant English muffin!!! I used a toothbrush, even!! But now there is not one speck of oil or grease in my whole engine compartment!!!! OCD award....level 10!!!
Oh, and my lovely Lady Loves our '85 4runner, and we go out into the hills at least twice a week in it together! (post little floating hearts here).....It's "Our time".......she Rocks!!

Well I am definately going back to the toothbrush and garden hose after this. Once I feel comfortable that I have spotted any other bad wires.
